The Adam OPEL AG was founded 1862 by Adam OPEL in Rüsselsheim, Germany. Starting with sewing machines and bicycles, OPEL has nowadays a rich tradition as Automaker since 1899. Today OPEL in Europe consists of 3 Engineering centres in Rüsselsheim, Millbrook (UK) and Turin (Italy), 4 Test and 12 Manufacturing plants with 46,500 employees.

Contributions

In this project, OPEL will act as Technical Coordinator and will be responsible for the system specification and the testing and evaluation of the VISTRA Prototypes. In particular, this includes providing a common engineering data structure, specifying a virtual training process, implementing the early and final VISTRA prototype test environments and performing the tests and evaluation. Additionally, shop floor operators and dealers of OPEL will work intensively on the choice of the optimal input and output devices to obtain the highest possible usability.
